Grady Anderson Auxiliary

Mission and Purpose

The Grady Anderson Auxiliary was established in the year 2000. It is a Parish Life Commission Organization, committed to raising funds to support specific projects to restore, protect, preserve, enhance, and beautify our Church and its properties.

We also are a loyal supporter of other parish organizations and generously donate monies to help cover or offset the costs of endeavors and causes that are aligned with our overarching goal.

By the grace of God – and with the unwavering support of our dedicated members, volunteers, and the community – the Grady Anderson Auxiliary has been able to provide over $61,000 towards various parish ventures.

We humbly ask that you keep our members in your prayers so that we may continue the good work – begun over two decades ago – for many more years to come.

Welcome to our Religious Education Program!

Allow me to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for saying YES to religious education here at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. We have made a continuous commitment to provide opportunities to educate our community in the Catholic faith. Through our Sacramental Prep classes (First Communion and Confirmation) as well as our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) class, our goal is to strengthen the relationship with God that already exists.

This year, the Religious Education Program plans to not only offer classes for your children and youth, but to provide opportunities for you as a family through a Family Catechesis Program. We are currently in the process of confirming these classes and will make announcements when they are finalized.

There is no tuition requirement to be enrolled in our Religious Education program.

We do believe that Religious Education begins at home. Parents are the primary instructors of the Catholic faith to their children. Children absorb the faith, not just by what they are told, but what they see. They learn from listening and watching. Our Catechists (teachers) continue teaching of the faith as a strong support to parents/guardians.  These dedicated women and men who have answered God’s call to share their faith with the youth of this parish are committed.

Thank you for being a part of the St. Martin de Porres family. God bless you and your family with peace and good health as we continue this Religious Education year.
